Emotes CO. and all of its projects receive a lot of traffic from different age groups, and child safety is a center point of our considerations during development and community interaction.
We acknowledge first and foremost that TTD 3 is for all players of all age groups. For some parents, this can be quite daunting.
We’re incredibly committed to the safety of our younger audiences and will do our best to only feature content which is safe for all age groups.
There are many different ways which you can keep your child safe in TTD 3:
- Ensuring that your child’s Roblox account age is set to something under 13 (or their actual age if they are under 13 years old) will impose a stricter filter for all incoming and outgoing messages. Roblox calls this “super safe chat”.
- This can be enabled by following this link and changing the account’s “Birthday”.
- Roblox details how to do this here, as well as the implications for your child’s account if this is done.
- Enabling “Parental Controls” on your child’s account will heavily restrict their activity in a way that is monitorable and safer for those who are entering experiences with many different age groups.
- Roblox details this process here, as well as the implications for your child’s account if this is done.
- In TTD 3, changing certain settings may ensure your child’s safety by preventing interaction with others.
- Enabling our “Hide Others” setting will prevent all Roblox avatars apart from your child’s added Roblox friends from showing on screen.
- Disabling our “Chat/VC Bubbles” setting will further prevent communication by turning off chat bubbles that will show up above player’s heads, regardless of whether they are hidden.
- Unfortunately, even after hiding players, Roblox’s own internal technologies will continue to show chat bubbles. This can be subverted by using the setting shown below.
